Researchers at the MIT Media Laboratory developed a prototype of a finger mounted device which is built with a camera and it can convert text in audio .This technology will made it easy for any visually impaired person to read text. The reader just has to align the finger with the text .This device is also integrated with software which can detect your finger movements and process the information. If the device is not pointed to the text properly then vibrations are sent to the user to help him align this finger with the text. This is done by a few motors which are integrated into the device.
There is no news about when they are officially going to launch this product. This product will make the lives of Blind people a bit easier.Currently they are trying to integrate this software with smartphones and tablets. Not only the visually impaired,This device can also be used by children to read. Its a very big development in the field of Wearable electronics.
